Annual Tire Recycling Event

Notes:

  1. New for this year; 10 tire limit per vehicle; no exceptions.
  2. The District reserves the right to change the conditions as needed.
May contain: architecture, building, outdoors, person, car, transportation, vehicle, and coal
Tire Drive - 2023.  5,362 tires were collected.

Did you know that ONE female mosquito can produce oave a  THOUSAND eggs in one tire over the course of a season? Benton County Mosquito Control and the Washington Department of Ecology have teamed up to recycle your used tires at no cost to you. Take advantage of this once-a-year event.  Do some spring cleaning and reduce mosquito habitat!

  • Available to residents of the Benton County Mosquito Control District (Not sure if you are "in the District?"  Use our map or contact us.)
  • Must show proof of residence (e.g., Driver's license, utility bill, etc.)
  • No tractor or oversized tires
  • Limit 10 tires per vehicle (only one visit for this event)
  • Tires must be off the rims
  • Tires must be intact and round; no cut up tires

Where:  4951 W Van Giesen Street, West Richland, WA, 99353  (Benton County Mosquito Control headquarters; next to the West Richland Post Office)

When:  Saturday, April 20, 2024.  7:00 AM until 3:00 PM.*

*To avoid longer wait times, please show up after 8:30 AM.  We don't have a total collection limit, so we won't be turning people away.
