Announcements
News, announcements, and upcoming events going on in the district. Communication and cooperation with property owners, residents and governmental agencies are critical components in the effort to reduce mosquito populations. Benton County MCD strives to be open and responsive to our community.
Did you know...
Why do some people get an itchy bump from a mosquito bite? When a female mosquito 'bites' you, she injects an anticoagulant (found in her saliva) to keep the blood moving. Your body reacts to a protein found in the saliva resulting in the bump.
Employment
Benton County Mosquito Control hires approximately 25 seasonal employees every year. Some of these workers return to work each year, but every year there are vacant positions which need to be filled.
